Fairacres Road Study Area

The Las Cruces MPO has begun a study of the Fairacres Road area.  Maps presented at the public input meeting held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Fairacres Elementary School are listed below.  (Please be advised that the maps are large files and may take a while to open with dial-up access.)  Based on the input that is received during the comment period, staff will develop options to be brought back for a second meeting to be held at Fairacres Elementary at a date to be determined soon.  You can submit comments via our website.

Regional Transit District (RTD)

A Regional Transit District is a separate government entity with authority to finance, plan, construct, operate, maintain, and promote a regional public transit system.

 

Pedestrian Element for MPO Transportation Plan

The Las Cruces MPO has begun an update of the Pedestrian Element of the 2005 Transportation Plan.  Staff has developed a Pedestrian Survey (English)  (Spanish) to assist in gathering data.  Please send the completed survey to the MPO Office, Attention Andy Hume, at PO Box 20000, Las Cruces, NM 88004.  You may also provide feedback via our website.

 

Transit Route and Intermodal Center Study

The City of Las Cruces has commissioned Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates to study options for the location and design of a new intermodal center.

 

Short Range Transit Plan

The purpose of this addendum is to document the changes that have occurred since the Short Range Transit Plan was developed and evaluate the recommendations of the report in relation to the current conditions. Also included in this document is an outline of the near term (5 years) changes needed to take place in the system.
