Las Cruces Regional Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) integrate advanced technology and management strategies to improve the safety and efficiency of a transportation system. To plan for a timely, efficient, and cost effective ITS deployment in the Las Cruces region, the Las Cruces Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) adopted the Las Cruces Regional ITS Architecture.  This plan is designed to assist the Las Cruces MPO and regional ITS stakeholders in the efficient and cost effective deployment of ITS technologies that will meet the regions overall goals and objectives and solve some of the existing transportation system’s deficiencies.
