The Las Cruces Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is a multi-jurisdictional planning agency located in south-central New Mexico, USA. The MPO is responsible for multi-modal transportation planning in Las Cruces, Mesilla and part of Doña Ana County. For more information see MPO Background.

Interactive Traffic Count Map

The MPO is proud to announce that the traffic count data is now available through an interactive map. At this time, the map only contains the traffic counts that are listed on the current Traffic Flow Map. As time progresses, we will add historical counts and hourly data to provide a more complete picture of traffic counts in our area. The MPO will continue to maintain the Traffic Flow Maps.

MPO Public Participation Plan (PPP) Update

The MPO is required to develop and use a documented participation plan that outlines opportunities for eveyone to become involved with the transportation planning process. The latest draft of the PPP represents a significant revision over the current PPP, adopted in 2003 and updated in August 2007. MPO staff is currently accepting written comments on the draft Public Participation Plan.

Madrid-Sonora Springs Study Area

The first draft of the Final Report is now available for review. Staff will continue to accept written public comments through May 30, 2008. After this date, all further responses will be accepted during the regularly scheduled MPO Committee Meetings. Bicycle Suitability Map is now available

The MPO is proud to announce that the new Mesilla Valley Bicycle Suitability Map was approved on Wednesday, April 9. The map is currently available in digital format only. We will announce when printed copies are ready. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments about the new map.

RTD Service and Financial Plan Kickoff
